Crow to Lead the 2019 United Way Campaign

Tuscaloosa, AL-(July 22, 2019) Norman Crow, Jr., President of D.T. Freight, LLC, will serve as the United Way of West Alabama's (UWWA) 2019 Campaign Chairman. In this esteemed volunteer role, Crow will lead fundraising efforts, oversee the campaign cabinet and a broad network of United Way champions and incite fellow community leaders to provide crucial financial support for UWWA's 26 partner agencies across West Alabama.

"We are fortunate to have Norman take the reins and inspire others during this year's campaign," says Jackie Wuska, UWWA President & CEO. "Norman has a contagious enthusiasm for service and giving back. He has developed a wonderful team of folks to serve on our Campaign Cabinet who also share his commitment to our community. This group has set an ambitious goal this year and is prepared to ask all of us to do our part for the betterment of West Alabama."

Crow dedicates much of his time to aiding business, economic development and education in West Alabama. Beyond his role as UWWA Campaign Chairman, he is also currently serving on the Board of Directors of the Tuscaloosa County Industrial Development Authority and the Business Council of Alabama and is a member Alabama Works Steering Committee, Alabama Workforce Council and Alabama Commission on Higher Education.

Crow has guided the Chamber of Commerce of West Alabama in the roles of Chairman of the Board and Chairman of the Chamber's Public Affairs Committee and Vice Chairman for Governmental Affairs. He served as Chairman of the Board of Boys & Girls Club of West Alabama. He also was elected to govern on The Tuscaloosa City School Board of Education representing District 3 from 2013 to May 2017.

"I never take opportunities to serve and give back lightly," says Crow. "I am proud of our community and am honored to have been offered the opportunity to work with others to improve our health, education and financial stability and to continue to make this a great place to live and work."

A native of Tuscaloosa, Norman holds a degree in Accounting from the University of Alabama and is a Certified Pub lic Accountant. He and his wife, Keeshan, are the proud parents of Norman III, Madeleine, and Meredith.
